With the sun shining we started the walk into Pinnacle ridge, the hardest graded ridge on Sgurr nan Gillean, the most northerly munro on the Cuillin ridge.
With dry rock and very grippy gabbro we made good progress over the 1st 2 pinnacles climbing up some good short pitches. In this weather it feels like you can climb anywhere with the amazing friction from the rock.
After a steep climb direct out of the gully we were on the summit of Knights peak, an un-classified munro top and then finished off the scrambling onto the west ridge of Sgurr nan Gillean.
After lunch at the summit we then descended the west ridge, down the abseil and started the walk off back to the pub.
