Glencoe winter skills

Today we went to Glencoe for our second day of winter skills and what a contrast from yesterday. Firm ice and snow all the way up with patches of windslab, compared to the soft powder yesterday.

We were on the wind scoured side of the mountain walking up the wee Buachaille and needed crampons as soon as we reached the snow line, this gave the guys a good amount of mileage. With the strong wind picking up at the col we made it to 902m peak where we then looked at good techniques to descend steep slopes before recapping ice axes arrests.

We had amazing views of the other Glencoe munros, Aonach Eagach, Ben Nevis and the Grey corries with some moody sky's.
