Today i was on Curved ridge on Buachaille Etive Mor in Glencoe. The ridge wasn’t that busy with most parties making their way to Rannoch wall for steeper climbing.
We were lucky for the low cloud cover lower down on the ridge keeping the temperatures down. There are not many times that i have been up in shorts and a base layer and been too hot!
We made good progress over the lower steeper section building on the guys experience on Ledge Route on Ben Nevis last summer. With a few water stops and watching the climbers we got to the upper crux, which the guys went up well and the hardest scrambling that they have done.
Now above the clouds we were in the heat of the sun and on the hot rock with great views out to Rannoch mor and the Mamores above the cloud inversion.
A great day to be up high in Glencoe with amazing views.
