Today i was on Curved ridge in Glencoe, a classic mountaineering route. With winter still not arrived and with strong southerly winds it was a good option to get the guys on the rock, and we managed to find some snow as well.
We made steady progress up the ridge getting really good views across Rannoch mor. Once near the top there is still a good snow slope in the exit gully which gave us a few hundred meters of steeper snow to ascend.
A quick walk off from the summit in the wind and we dropped down into the corrie where we descend the snow slope, practicing ice axe arrests as we went. A good balanced day.
