Am Basteir and the Basteir tooth and Sgurr nan Gillean were the munro peaks and munro top that were the aim of today. With a less than favorable forecast it actually turned out to be a dry day with good views and a bit of atmospheric cloud. We made a good ascent of the west ridge on Sgurr nan Gillean and instead of abseiling at the pinnacles we down climbed the chimney. Very quickly we found ourself at Am Basteir and down to the tooth with the exciting squeeze into the cave before the airy abseil down.
