Summary
Transferring your climbing from an indoor wall onto real rock is trickier than it sounds. Learning how to find hand and foot holds and climbing on a route that isn’t always straight up can act as a barrier to many. By almost re-learning to climb with an instructor can take the frustration out of the process, whilst also having the opportunity to ask questions and learn some technical skills along the way.
There is a vast choice of climbs in Glen Nevis so it is a great place to find out what your climbing style is like. Whether its balancing on low angles slabs, steeper cracks, small roofs or classic corners and chimneys. Climbing outside opens up a massive range of options for you to try.
This day is great for those who want to get a feel for the climbing in the area or just want a relaxing day on the rock, with lots of areas for picnics, the climbing in Glen Nevis is endless.
The structure of the day can include:

-
Easy climbs with ropes similar to a climbing wall
-
Climbs where you top out and walk back to the start
-
Long or short climbs
-
Multi-pitch climbs
-
Abseiling
-
Climbing coaching and instruction
-
Teaching of simple technical skills.
