Summary

The Skye Munros range has the longest ridge line in the UK connecting the 11 Munros.  The gabbro rock is very grippy and friendly to gain the summits of the 11 munros.  In the 4 days you will travel over some of the classic sections of the Skye Cuillin ridge and get to some of the most spectacular peaks in the UK.

Having a guide to lead and support you through the trickier sections and show you the way could be the difference between success and failure, on these intimidating peaks.

The scrambling up to the summits is not harder than grade 3 over the 4 days with great classic sections like the west ridge of Sgurr nan Gillean, The In’ Pinn’ and the ridge between Sgurr a'Mhadaidh and Sgurr a'Ghreadaidh.

The 4-day itinerary is flexible with weather and fitness with the itinerary below being the ideal progression through the scrambles and peaks.

Day 1 – The southern peaks 12km 1450m ascent, Grade 2

  • Sgurr nan Eag, Sgurr Dubh Mor and Sgurr Alasdair

Day 2 – The In' Pinn' 12km 1400m ascent, Grade 3

  • Sgurr Mhic Choinnich, The 'Inaccessible Pinnacle' and Sgurr na Banachdich

Day 3 – Middle section 9km 1000m ascent, Grade 2

  • Sgurr a'Mhadaidh and Sgurr a'Ghreadaidh

Day 4 – Northern Section 14km 1350m ascent, Grade 3

  • Sgurr nan Gillean, Am Basteir and Bruach na Frithe

Add on an extra day to get the 12th munro on Skye

  • The Clach Glas ridge up to the munro of Blaven is a mini Cuillin ridge and a great way to get to the top.

8km, 1000m, Grade 3 along the ridge with isolated ‘Diff’ sections to get to the summit.

Want only a few days or peaks?
